Hotel Gaasterland ***

Located in South-West Friesland, surrounded by lakes and forest areas. Excellent starting point for bicycle and walking tours. Within a range of 30 km you will find 7 of the famous 11 Frisian cities. By car it will only take one and a half hour from Amsterdam / Schiphol.

If you want to enjoy a good meal, our restaurant is the perfect place to go to. You can choose from various dishes that are served in the form of a buffet. In our cosy bar you can play a game of billiard, play cardgames, or simply linger at the table. For a sporty spending of your sparetime you can roll up your sleeves on our bowling alley.

The diner buffet (warm/cold) is served between 18.00 and 19.00 hours for EUR 20,50 per person

From the A7 (afsluitdijk) follow the direction of Sneek/Bolsward. At the exit
Bolsward you follow the signs Workum/Balk (N359) until you get exit Rijs to the right. When you enter the village Rijs, go to the left. Within 100 meters you will find the hotel on your left hand.

From A7 (Groningen/Joure), follow the A6 to Lemmer and take the first exit Sloten/Balk. In Balk, go to the left, within 5 minutes you will reach Rijs. When you enter the village Rijs, go to the left. Within 100 meters you will find the hotel on your left hand.
