Op de Gracht (B & B) ***A new, cosy and friendly B & B in a beautiful, traditional canal house, right in the heart of the historical area, where you can feel at home in Amsterdam and not just a visitor. Op de Gracht is located on the Prinsengracht (Prince`s Canal), one of the main four canals in the city centre??™s canal ring (western canal belt), in a quiet, picturesque area. The house, built during the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century, now offers modern comforts, great views over the canal and a central, convenient location to explore the city??™s many attractions, either on foot or by tram. Cost of children: 0 ??“ 16 years: EUR 20 per child per night. Maximum number of children in the parents??™ room: 1-2 children depending on the room type: room with bath (max. 1 child), room with shower (max. 2 children). Possibility of children staying in their parents??™ room is based upon availability. Please note that the above mentioned rates are not automatically calculated in the total costs specified in the booking confirmation. Generous continental breakfast included in the price, with breads, cheese, cold meats, eggs, fruit, etc. Breakfast is served between 08:00 and 10:00 in our spacious kitchen. Cafes, shops and a variety of restaurants are just around the corner on the Utrechtsestraat, as well as ???eetcafes??™ (traditional Dutch ???bistros??™) all in the canal area. 3 days before date of arrival. Transport to our hotel and approximate prices: From Schiphol Airport: - Train to Central Station: EUR 3.60 one way. - Taxi to hotel: approximately EUR 50 to 60. From Central Station to hotel: - Taxi: approximately EUR 10. - Tram 4: 6th stop - ???Prinsengracht???; EUR 1.60 per person. You are now on the Utrechtsestraat. Continue straight ahead until you reach the canal, turn left and walk along the right-hand side of the water (2 minutes). Parking: The nearest car park is at the Muziektheater/Stadhuis (known as the ???Stopera???) and costs EUR 3.20 per hour and maximum EUR 34 per 24 hours. To move around the city: A tram stop is just 2 minutes away on foot: line 4 goes to Central Station (approx. 15 minutes ride). Interesting sights along the Prinsengracht include Anne Frank??™s House, the Noorderkerk (Northern Church), the Noordermarkt (Northern Market) and the Westerkerk (Western Church, Amsterdam`s tallest church). You can take lovely, easy walks along the canals to many of the sights and attractions, also easily reachable with the convenient and frequent trams that run all around the city centre and beyond. Amongst others, Rembrandt House, Waterlooplein, the Flower Market, Dam Square with the Royal Palace and Madame Tussaud??™s, the Red Light District, Amsterdam Historical Museum, Heineken Experience (Heineken Beer Museum), the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are all within easy reach.
