By car:
- Coming from Cape Town, follow the N2 in the direction of Somerset
West.
- Pass Caledon, Swellendam, Riversdale, Mossel Bay and George.
- Continue on the N2 in the direction of Knysna.
- Pass Wilderness.
- After about 5 kilometres you will see the Wilderness Beach Hotel on
your right-hand side.
- Turn left onto the serpentine road and continue downhill until you reach
a T-junction.
- Turn right onto Lake Road.
- Tendele is about 1 kilometre from the junction.
- Beware of the 4 speed dips in the road.

- Alternatively, turn right immediately after the police station (just after
turning off the N2).
- Continue about 1,5 km, until you see the Tendele sign.
- Turn left onto Lake Road.
- After about half a kilometre you will see Tendele.
- Beware of the speed dips.

Bordering the Outeniqua Mountains in the north and Indian Ocean in the south, Wilderness is known for its unspoiled beaches and natural surroundings. Enjoy activities such as bird-watching, canoeing or guided tours around Island Lake.
