Metropole Hotel ***This friendly 3-star hotel enjoys an ideal location just minutes from a seaside promenade which is the pride and joy of this smart residential area. Enjoy strolls from the bay to St Julian’s, passing by a variety of café kiosks, restaurants, bars, swimming clubs and typically Mediterranean areas. The rooms are comfortably furnished and include air-conditioning, en suite bathrooms. Free kettle facilities in the rooms are offered for all bookings during February and March 2009. Le Soleil Restaurant, the large buffet restaurant situated alongside the reception, is adorned with attractive murals and wide French windows, a combination that creates a bright and cheerful atmosphere. A lounge area is available outside the restaurant, on the other side of the reception desk. Le Soleil buffet restaurant offers continental buffet breakfast. English breakfast is available at an additional cost. For dinner, the restaurant also offers a buffet featuring a wide selection of Mediterranean cuisine specialities. Snacks are available at the hotel’s bar at lunchtime. During the summer months, the rooftop snack bar next to the swimming pool is open for lunch, offering beautiful views of Sliema and the surrounding areas.
