Standhouse Hotel ***Standhouse Hotel is located in the Curragh - the home of Irish horse racing. Conference facilities are just 35 minutes from Dublin city. The hotel offers the complete hospitality package for both corporate and individual entertainment. All guests have use of the luxurious leisure centre with its 20 metre deck level pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fully equipped gym. The original bar of the Standhouse Hotel still stands open to this very day and is a regular venue for race goers, steeped in history, and has been attended by some famous race horse owners and jockeys alike. Children under the age of 12 share a room with 2 paying adults, free of charge. However, please note that a charge of EUR 5 per morning will apply for breakfast. Cancellations made up to 48 hours before arrival are free of charge. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival or no-shows, the total amount of the booking will be charged to the credit card provided. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. By Car: - From Dublin, follow the signs for the south, which is the N7 road. - Bypass Naas and join the M7. - Bypass Newbridge and take the exit for the Curragh (The Curragh Racecourse and Standhouse Hotel will be signposted). - Take a right at the roundabout and cross over a 2nd roundabout towards the racecourse. - The Standhouse Hotel is situated behind the main stand of the Curragh racecourse. - From the South, follow signs for Dublin (Limerick N7 and Cork N8, joining the N7 at Portlaoise). - Take the 1st exit off this road signposted Kilcullen (both the Standhouse Hotel and Curragh Racecourse are signposted). - Take the last exit off the roundabout and follow the signs for the Curragh Racecourse. - The Standhouse Hotel is situated behind the main stand of the Curragh Racecourse. - From the North, take the airport road to the Red Cow roundabout. - Take the N7 (Naas Road). - Follow signs for Newbridge/Curragh Racecourse. - Bypass Naas and join the M7. - Bypass Newbridge and take the exit for the Curragh (The Curragh Racecourse and Standhouse Hotel will be signposted). - Take a right at the roundabout and cross over a 2nd roundabout towards Racecourse 6. - The Standhouse Hotel is situated behind the main stand of the Curragh Racecourse. Free parking is available. The Curragh Racecourse (0 km) - The Curragh Racecourse is located directly across the road from the hotel, and is the home of flat racing in Ireland, and is also the venue for the Budweiser Irish derby St Brigid`s Cathedral & Round Towers (3 km) - On the site where St Brigid reputedly founded a monastery in 480 AD. Japanese Gardens & National Stud (5 km) - See the top quality thoroughbreds, mares and foals for which County Kildare is famous for and also discover the Japanese gardens Mondello Park Racing Circuit (15 km) - Ireland`s only international racing circuit.
