Hotel Sport Barú offers a private beach area in the tropical island of Barú, in Cholon´s Cove. All rooms are surrounded by trees and provide ultimate peace and quiet. The private bathrooms have showers and provide a touch of nature through the open spaces in the walls.

Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the open restaurant at the beach side, which is prepared with international and local Caribbean ingredients and the freshest seafood.

Sport Barú Hotel is ideal for water sports and outdoor activities such as canoeing, snorkelling, windsurfing and hiking. Guests can relax and sun bath at the private beach.

The island can be reached from Cartagena which takes 45 minutes by boat. The Rosario Islands are just a 10-minute boat ride away from Hotel Sport Barú.

Please note the hotel is located on an island. Boats leave on a daily basis to Barú at 08:30, and return to Cartagena at 15:00, depending on the weather. Transport fees are not included in the rates and should be arranged separately with the hotel in advance. Boats leave from Manga neighbourhood in Cartagena. The hotel warns guests arriving by car that the road is bumpy and deteriorated. Pregnant women are advised not to go on board without consulting a physician.
