Pirila Hotel **This small family hotel is surrounded by tranquil open countryside and mountains and is only 15 minutes from the ski resort of Bansko. It is owned and run by and English family and offers stunning views across the valley, of the ski runs and the surrounding mountains. The national parks are easily accessible. Constructed in 2007 in a traditional style with all modern amenities, this hotel offers great value for money and attentive service to make sure you spend pleasurable holidays in this inviting place. Our Bulgarian Mehana restaurant serves both traditional local dishes and contemporary European cuisine. All produce is sourced fresh locally. If you have any specific desires or dietary requirements our chef will be happy to accommodate them. The Mehana has an open log fire for cosy winter evenings and an outside terrace with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Our food and drinks are priced at a level local people can afford, so they are much cheaper than in usual holiday destinations. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: 20 % VAT is included. We are situated between the Pirin and Rila national parks, from which we took our name. The alpine parks offer an abundance of interesting flora and wildlife. The entrance to the Rila national park is nearby and has marked trails, easy to follow. The Pirin national park can be entered on foot or you can take the chair lift directly into the mountains from nearby Bezbog, which runs both in winter and summer. There are a large number of interesting historical sites to visit, such as monasteries and churches along with mineral spa baths, a brown bear sanctuary and a mountain railway.
