Palace Hotel ****Enjoy breathtaking sea and city views from the legendary Palace Hotel, an exclusive Helsinki item since the 1952 Olympics. The intimate Palace is full of memories and its guests have included both royalty and movie stars. The private lounge area outside each room at Palace Hotel is ideal for relaxing, having a drink or reading a newspaper. Some of the comfortable en suite guest rooms have private balconies. Room facilities include cable and pay TV, hairdryers, trouser presses, work desks, minibars and coffee trays. The 10th floor houses the Palace Gourmet à la carte restaurant, considered to be one of the finest restaurants in Finland. For decades its private rooms have been places where important decisions regarding Finnish society have been made. At Palace Gourmet, all creative dishes are prepared using only the finest of local ingredients and the à la carte menu changes seasonally. The wine selection is in a league of its own; during the years the wine cellar has been filled with carefully selected first-rate wines. The Gin & Tonic Lounge Bar offers the largest selection of gins in town and the scenic 11th floor terrace is open during the summer. The 9th floor Sea Lounge serves coffee, small snacks, fruit and complimentary Afternoon Tea daily. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 16:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 35.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
