The Inn At Inverbeg ****

This stylish Scottish inn offers modern rooms with flat-screen TVs and rustic-style decor. The 200-year-old Inn at Inverbeg is set back on the A82 and is ideal for exploring Loch Lomond.

Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, the inn blends modern facilities with the ambience of a traditional inn. Just 5 minutes’ north of the picturesque village of Luss, the inn is less than 30 minutes’ drive from Glasgow International Airport.

There are also luxury beach house rooms just a short walk from the main building, with views of the loch, mountains and jetty. Some rooms feature a four-poster bed or a roll-top bath.

Mr.C’s Fish & Whisky bar/restaurant offers relaxed dining, and a menu featuring West Coast fish and chips, steaks and burgers. There is an impressive range of 250 whiskies, a large wine list and real ales. Scottish hospitality continues at the weekends with traditional live folk music.

The Inn was named AA Pub of the Year 2009/2010 and won a bar food award at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2010.

Mr. C’s Fish and Whisky Bar celebrates two things that Scotland is famous for, fresh fish and fantastic whisky. A totally new concept in dining, Mr C’s has an innovative express-service method, which allows you to take your own order.

The fresh fish is locally caught where possible. As well as traditional Scottish favourites like haddock and cod, you can also savour more exotic delicacies, such as oysters, squid, langoustines and tuna. The menu changes regularly, because the catch usually does. The restaurant also offers a great selection of dishes featuring meat from the grill. As well as delicious hand-cut chips and mushy peas, you can also try potato scallops, crispy onion rings and seasonal salads like wild rocket and parmesan.

Afterwards, you can even sample Scotland’s finest delicacy, the deep-fried Mars Bar!

As well as a superb collection of 200 whiskies, the bar also stocks a great selection of real ales from across Scotland and the UK.
