Maloja Palace Hotel [Apartments]Built in 1884 by the Belgian count Camille de Renesse, the newly opened Maloja Palace Hotel offers you completely renovated rooms and suites with wonderful views to Lake Sils and the mountains. The Maloja Palace is situated in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in the Engadine, at the edge of the Bergell valley, 15 km from St. Moritz. The Neo-Renaissance-style building houses an exclusive alpine resort which offers its guests a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The suites feature extra-long beds (2,20m), hypo-allergenic mattresses and a switch which avoids electric smog at night. All meals served in the restaurant are made from selected organic ingredients. The Maloja Palace is the ideal place for sports lovers and for those who like to combine nature, relaxation and outdoor activities all around the year. Here you can practice sailing, rowing, mountain biking, tennis and football to name but a few. All meals served in the restaurant of the Maloja Palace are, as far as reasonably possible, organic, and desserts and ice cream comes without artificial flavour or colours. Soon the hotel`s own pizzeria, confectionery store and organic bakery as well as an organic food store will be opened. The Maloja Palace is a sports hotel where guests can enjoy themselves and to wear whatever they feel most comfortable in. Therefore there are no dress codes applicable in any of the restaurants and bars. Smoking is not permitted in any of the restaurants, the bars or the ballroom. Smokers can enjoy their cigarettes and cigars in the smoking room. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. It is known for its inspiring and relaxing character and its immediate vicinity to St. Moritz. The magnificent Belvedere tower, the former residence of count Camille de Renesse, is situated a 20-minute walk from the hotel. From there you can enjoy breathtaking views to the Bergell valley.
