There is plenty to see and do around Hakuba whether it be related to outdoor activities, culture and history or simply relaxing in the nearby hot springs. All meals can provided at the lodge upon request - you will find very few eating areas within walking distance. Make sure you notify the lodge at least a day before you arrive!!

By Plane: From Narita Airport with JR Limited Narita Express to Tokyo Station, then with JR Shinkansen bullet train to Nagano Station, then with Bus (1,400 yen) to Happo Bus Terminal and Walk to Hotel (total 4 hours).

By far the most popular activity in this area is skiing (Happo-one Ski Resort) from December to late April. From spring to fall, the alpine flora and the coloring of autumn leaves attract many hikers and nature lovers. One of the highlights of summer is "Hakuba Daisekkei", a massive snow gorge 3500 meters long and 100 meters wide.
There are also natural hot springs such as "Hakuba Happo Onsen" and "Hakuba Shio no Michi Onsen". A number of outdoor spas and public spas are located near the lodge.
