The Havelte-Oost Nature Reserve has heath land. woods and fascinating Hunnebeds which are stone age burial sites. The nature reserve has a wide variety of walking and cycling routes. Lovers of beautiful scenery can visit the Dwingelerveld. Drents-Friese Wold. Weerribben and Wieden Nature Reserves. Children will enjoy the Oranje Play Town which is around 18 kilometres away. The Duinen Zathe Adventure Park is around 25 kilometres away. The village of Giethoorn. known as the Venice of the Netherlands . Meppel and Steenwijk are all well worth a visit. After an enjoyable day out. even when it s a little cooler. the farmhouse s covered veranda is the perfect place to relax. All in all. the farmhouse and the area are ideal holiday destinations.
