Casa del Conde de Pinofiel ****The Casa del Conde de Pinofiel, from 1762, is a real ???Casa Palacio??? (a kind of luxury residence from 18th century); a wonderful example of civil Baroque architecture entirely restored in May 2004 in order to recondition it as a luxury 4-star Hotel in the historical center of Antequera. An architectural jewel of History where every detail has received the attention that deserves, taking a great deal of care over the fact of trying to mantain every original item. Doors, windows, stone and brick paneling, columns, paving...everything has been conserved to create an unique atmosphere that will make you revive the history stored up within these walls. The hotel has a bar, but does not have its own on-site restaurant. There are many excellent restaurants in the centre of town, within easy walking distance of the hotel. Staff at reception will be happy to advise you regarding which ones to try and will make suitable recommendations. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All children from 2 to 12 years are charged EUR 16.05 per night and person for extra beds. All older children or adults are charged EUR 32.10 per night and person for extra beds. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Internet via modem is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 7.50 per person. Parking: Public parking is possible at a location nearby and costs EUR 12.00 per day. Pets: Pets are not allowed. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. The Hotel is located in the city centre, in a pedestrian street called La Tercia, near the Town Hall. When you arrive to the centre, take the main street: Infante Don Fernando, then take Comedias, and after that, you take the second on the left, Cantareros, carry on straight, then turn right and you will find the Hotel. There is plenty to see and do in Antequera, and the hotel??™s excellent central location makes it a convenient base for visiting all of the town??™s fascinating churches, convents and monuments. The town has many interesting museums and numerous palaces built during the Renaissance and the Baroque period. Nearby attractions include; the Real Colegiata of Santa María La Mayor, The Palace of Nájera (Municipal Museum), The Church of San Jose (Descalzas Museum) and the Churches of El Carmen and Los Remedios. The nature reserve at El Torcal and The Dolmens (Menga, Viera and El Romeral) are also within easy reach. Total number of rooms: 24 |
