The Dorchester Hotel [Apartments]The Dorchester Hotel is set in a conservation area on Beverley Road, just one mile from Hull city centre. The hotel was first built as 3 separate houses between 1863 and 1869 and still has much of its original character. Originally the Dorchester House, Tamworth Lodge and Stanley House, the latter was converted in 1937 into a guest house and by 1958, all 3 houses had merged to form a 58 bedroom hotel named The Dorchester. In 2002, The Dorchester underwent a major refurbishment and modernisation, not only bringing it back to its former glory and traditional style, but back to its original concept. Then in October 2006, the hotel was taken over by its current owners who gave it another refurbishment. Now operating as a 25 bedroom hotel incorporating the Sullivan`s bar and restaurant, the Tamworth function suite and the Expressions night club; this is a building that has everything. All meals are served in the conservatory. The car breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is from 8-10am. On Sundays, lunch and dinner are served from 12:00 - 7:30pm. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children up to 10 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children up to 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged GBP 9.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: No internet access available. Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free Secured parking is possible on site. Pets: Pets are not allowed. We do have a selection of non-smoking rooms and all requests will be duly noted. Credit card details are used to guarantee the rooms, we ask all guests to pay upon arrival. Take the m62 into Hull and follow signs for the railway station (Freetown Way). Keep going along Freetown Way past the station until you come to a big crossroads, go straight over at the lights on to Beverley Road. We are approximately 1/2 a mile on your left at the turning for Pearson Park. Total number of rooms: 25 |
