Farnley Tower provides stunning views over Durham Castle and Cathedral. The guesthouse is a prominent Victorian mansion, renowned for its architecture and gardens, and has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

Farnley Tower is just a short walk from the town centre.

The hotel has an award-winning bar and restaurant called Gourmet Spot, located in the lower grounds of the hotel. The food is gourmet-style, and also caters for special dietary requirements. Pre-booking is essential.

If you would like dinner at the guesthouse, you must book a table before arrival.

The bar and restaurant are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

By Car
- Take the A690 Durham turn-off from the A1M. Go straight over 4 roundabouts.
- After the 4th roundabout, take the 3rd exit on your right-hand side.
- Look out for the yellow music shop, EBGB, this is the corner of The Avenue.
- We are located at the top of The Avenue, on the right-hand side.

With our free on-site parking, you can easily leave your car here and explore the lovely city on foot. The train station is also close by, but if you are planning to go on foot to Farnley Tower, there is a slight hill to walk up.
