Thistle Hotel Stratford Upon Avon ***With all the charm, comfort and atmosphere of an English country house, this hotel enjoys a superb location in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, directly opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The Shakespeare properties, New Place and its Elizabethan gardens are literally on the hotel`s doorstep. Warwick Castle, Oxford, the Vale of Evesham, the beautiful Cotswolds and Cheltenham Race Course are only a short journey away. Set in its own attractive grounds with ample car parking (charges apply), the hotel is a very convenient place to meet, enabling guests to combine business and pleasure. Unfortunately due to the age of the building, there is no lift. During your stay, keep in touch with friends and family by making use of the BT Open Zone, which is fitted throughout the hotel at additional charge. We do offer luggage assistance as we don’t have a lift. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All children under 12 years are charged GBP 6.00 per night and person when using existing bedding. Extra beds are not available. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. Groups: When booking more than 10 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Please note that from August 2007 until 2010 major redevelopment works are being undertaken at the Royal Shakepeare Theatre. Slight disturbances may be caused during this time. However, all work is scheduled to take place on Monday-Fridays during office working hours.
