Tormaukin Country Inn And Restaurant ***The Tormaukin`s cosy bars with log-burning fires are popular for enjoyable and Informal lunches and suppers; these are available daily, offering home-style cooking of excellence, variety, quality and value. The Glenturret Room, with it`s comfortable and relaxed ambience, enjoys a substantial local reputation, with menus reflecting the chef`s imaginative use of local seasonal produce. Due to the ideal central location of the Tormaukin, it makes an excellent centreof touring and exploring Scotland. Close to the major cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow yet in the heart of the countryside. Stirling and Perth are both within half an hours drive. All rooms and public areas have been clasically and thoughtfully refurbished over the years in keeping with the builiding`s original features using local natural stone and timbers to ensure a warm welcome. The Tormaukin offers ample opportunities for those wanting to walk, fish, golf and shoot. There are over 100 golf courses within an hours drive of the hotel, with the picturesque course at Muckhart only 3 miles away, Gleneagles a short 10 minute drive and St Andrews just a 45 minute drive away. All this together with the friendly staff and live music events throughout the year, the Tormaukin is sure to become a favourite haunt of all those that visit it. Driving North from Edinburgh leave the m90 at junction 6, take the a977 to Kincardine, then follow signs to Stirling, turning off at Yetts of Muckhart onto the a823 signposted Crieff. North from Stirling/South from Perth, come off of the A9 onto the A823, signposted Gleneagles, Creiff & Glendevon and wind your way for 6 miles through the Glen until you come to the Tormaukin on the left hand side round a corner.
