The Black Boy ***

The Black Boy is a 16th-century property which features a traditional bar and restaurant which overlooks Sudbury`s historic market square. A freshly cooked breakfast is on offer, and a private car park is located at the rear of the hotel.

Following a complete refurbishment in September 2012, The Black Boy offers 9 en-suite rooms with en suite facilities, a welcome tray and flat-screen digital TVs.

The bar offers traditional ales and character, while the restaurant serves home-cooked traditional dishes.

The railway station, bus station, and Quay Theatre are all just a 5-minute walk away, while Gainsborough`s House is 300 metres along the road.
Bury St. Edmunds, Ipswich and Colchester are only a 30 minute drive away.

Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings.

Coming from either Colchester, Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds, just follow signs for Sudbury Town Centre. When in Sudbury, we are situated on the right hand side of the main Market Square (black and white timbered building).
