The Clifton Arms Hotel ****Overlooking Lytham Green and seafront in the picturesque coastal town, this 4 star establishment has a fascinating heritage dating back over 300 years. Children no older than 3 year can stay for free. Breakfast is served from 08:00 until 10:00. Lunch is served from 12:00 until 02:30. Dinner is served from 19:00 until 21:30. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. By car: Lytham lies on the A584, which is the coast road round the Fylde from Preston through to Blackpool. Lytham town is on the seafront but is separated from St Annes by 6.5 km (4 miles). From the M55: - Leave the motorway at junction 4. - Take the 1st left-hand turn onto the A583 (towards Preston). - Take the right-hand lane. - At the traffic lights turn 45° right into Peel Road. - Keep on this road until you reach a T-junction and then turn right onto Ballam Road. - Go straight down the road into Lytham town centre, passing Lytham Hall on your right and office buildings on your left. - Turn right at the T-junction in the square and then turn left into Queen Street. - You will see the rear of the Clifton Arms Hotel and car park at the end of Queen Street. - Turn left at the give way onto West Beach and you may park at the front or turn left into the main car park. Lytham St Annes is famous for its miles of beaches, a haven for boating enthusiasts, fishermen and those who just like to be beside the seaside. Notable nearby attractions include: Royal Lytham & St Annes golf club (5 km / 3 miles)) - an internationally renowned course, being a rotated host of the Open Championship. It is unique in that it is the only links style course to begin with a par 3 hole. Blackpool Pleasure Beach (9.5 km / 6 miles) - in case you should suddenly feel drawn to the bustle and crowds, the rides, shows and restaurants of Blackpool Pleasure Beach are just a short drive up the coast.
