Parking: Free parking is available at the hotel. Mountfitchet Castle Experience (1.2 km / 0.8 miles) - this world famous, unique living heritage site features the remains of a medieval castle. Adjacent to the castle site is a popular toy museum. Hatfield Forest National Nature Reserve (7.2 km / 4.5 miles) - with over 1000 acres of woodland and pasture, this site is of particular historical and ecological importance. 400 year old trees, 2 ornamental lakes and an 18th century Shell House also feature.
