Bylaugh Hall ***Set in the heart of Norfolk, this magnificent Grade II listed residence stands within its own private grounds near the peaceful town of Dereham, boasting views over the River Wensum. Originally built in 1852 by Sir Charles Barry, Bylaugh Hall offers stylish accommodation in tranquil surroundings. Following extensive restoration by the current owners, the hall features rare Ancaster stone, making it popular with photo-shoots and filming. Bylaugh Hall is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer, including a number of country pursuits on the Norfolk broads and coast, such as golf, fishing, walking, riding and sailing. Cocos Restaurant and Bar serves a wonderful à la carte menu each evening from 19:00 - 21:30. It is also open for lunch from 12:00 - 15:00 - last orders at 14:30. The bar is open from 11:00 - 15:00 and in the evenings from 18:00. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged GBP 32.50 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 6. Go through the village of Swanton Morley and over 2 hump-backed bridges. - Just after the bridges take the right-hand turning marked Bylaugh. Continue up this narrow road until you see the church in front of you. - On the left you will see a turning with a sign to Bylaugh Hall. - Go all the way to the top and across the front of the old hall. - Take the second right through the trees to the car park. From the A1067: - Take the B1147 signposted Swanton Morley. - Follow the road until you see a left-hand turning marked `Bylaugh`. - Continue up the narrow road until you see the church in front of you. - Follow as above. If using a satellite navigation system, travel to Norwich on the A11. When you are a few miles from Norwich, re-set your navigation system to Bylaugh Hall, NR20 4RL. By Public Transport The closest train station is at Norwich. By Air The closest airport is at Norwich. The cathedral city of Norwich is only 15 miles away.
