In a peaceful yet convenient location, this 19th-century farmhouse is close to the A78 and about 15 minutes from Prestwick Airport and 40 minutes from Glasgow International Airport.

Nethermains Lodge is 5 minutes` drive from Eglington Country Park. Ardrossan Harbour, with ferries to Arran, is just 10 minutes` drive away.

Local train stations and major road links to Glasgow, Troon, Kilmarnock, Ayr and Largs can be accessed easily. The beautiful harbour-side area is 5 minutes’ drive away and is adjacent to Irvine Beach Park, Magnum Leisure Centre and the popular Bridgegate shopping mall. There are 5 golf courses within easy reach of the Lodge: between 0.8 km and 40 km away. Transport to and from the courses is available. Dairy Clay Pigeon Shooting and Archery Centre is 10 minutes` drive away.

Nethermains Lodge is run informally and you can come and go as you please.

By Car:
From Prestwick Airport and Troon:
- Follow signs to pick up the A78 to Greenock.
- Do not take the Irvine turn-off. Continue on through the Eglinton Exchange roundabout.
- Stay on the A78 until you approach the next roundabout, named Penny Burn roundabout.
- Drive all the way around the roundabout and come back down on the other side of the dual carriageway.
- Continue for approximately 5 minutes (signposted Ayr/Irvine).
- Take the first turning on the left (signposted Kilwinning, Beith).
- The lodge is situated on the right-hand side as you leave the A78.

Nethermains Lodge is 0.8 miles (1.25 km) from Irvine’s town centre. The nearest golf course is one mile (0.8 km) away. The lodge’s convenient location means it has good access to all of the region’s major roads to Glasgow, Troon, Kilmarnock, Ayr and Largs. The local train stations are about 5 and 10 minutes’ drive away.

Irvine’s harbourside, the Beach Park, the Magnum Leisure Centre, Dundonald and Royal Troon golf courses and the Bridgegate shopping centre are all within a 10-minute drive. The lodge is just 35 minutes’ drive from the spectacular scenery and stunning natural beauty of Burns` country.
