It is the route taken by the Limerick - Tralee railway line, which opened in 1867 / 1880 and closed in 1975 / 1977. It allows visitors to the area to explore this beautiful region in a safe, leisurely way by foot or bicycle.

Abbeyfeale Golf Club is a beautiful 9 hole parkland golf course set in the scenic West Limerick countryside. The course, which opened in 1992, was designed by the renowned golf course architect Dr. Arthur Spring and is suitable for golfers of all levels.
