Kur- und Ferienhotel Puchtler ***This holiday spa hotel is situated on the outskirts of Bischofgrün, but is walking distance from the historical town centre, and welcomes you with a cosy and comfortable atmosphere. Located near the marketplace, this hotel offers inviting and pleasantly furnished single and double rooms, a spacious bathing and spa area and a bar. Our highlight in the winter: the "Skischule Nordbayern" (a ski school) lies only a few metres away and you can strap on your skis right in front of the hotel. You can enjoy a varied and delicious breakfast in our non-smoking conservatory. Typical regional dishes are served in the restaurant “Adlerstube” in our sister hotel “Gasthof Deutscher Adler” in the market place. Why not relax after an eventful day with a soothing carafe of wine or a refreshing regional beer at our bar? The restaurant is open Wednesdays to Mondays from 10:00 to 23:00 and on Tuesdays from 17:00 to 23:00. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. Reception is open daily from 08:00 to 23:00. Arriving from the A9 (Exit Bad Berneck): Keep going onto the B303. It is about 15 kilometres to Bischofsgrün from here. Travel in the direction of Bad Berneck and stay on the B303 until you reach Bischofsgrün. Take the first turning after Bischofsgrün – at the “Aral” petrol station – and you will be at the hotel. Arriving from the A93: Turn onto the B303 at Marktredwitz (in the direction of Bayreuth). It is about 26 kilometres to Bischofsgrün from here. Stay on the B303 until you get to Bischofsgrün and take the first turning to reach the hotel. The well-known holiday and winter sport destination of Bischofsgrün is situated in the Fichtel Mountains at a height of 680 metres. Whether it be a spa holiday, a hiking holiday or just time with the family, this area has something to offer every taste. As well as the famous Ochsenkopf ski jump, Bischofsgrün also offers appealing cross-country skiing and winter-hiking tracks. A network of well sign-posted hiking trails stretches right around the town and invites you to enjoy many varied day and half-day tours of the area. Cyclists and mountain bikers can also take great pleasure from the innumerable routes and course suggestions. As well as all this, Bischofsgrün offers a wide-ranging and colourful cultural programme: enjoy concerts in the "Kurhaus", slide shows, and various courses in handicrafts and cooking.
