Set on a hillside and in the quiet Stubach Valley, Sturmbachhütte is located 6 km from the centre of Uttendorf and offers rustic alpine style atmosphere and panoramic views overlooking the Weißsee Glacier and Uttendorf.

The next restaurant is 2 km away and a grocery shop can be found in the centre of Uttendorf.

Several hiking and cycling trails start directly on the doorstep. The Kitzsteinhorn Ski Area and the Schmittenhöhe Ski Area in Zell am See are reachable within a 25-minute drive.
